Plans submitted for The Box Padel Club

We’re excited to announce that we’ve officially submitted plans for The Box Padel Club – a new destination bringing one of the world’s fastest-growing sports to Penrith, alongside opportunities for businesses to lease adjoining fitness and industrial spaces.

Our proposed development on the Gilwilly Industrial Estate includes three purpose-built padel courts, two pickleball courts, a clubhouse, an adjoining 5,400 sq ft fitness space, an additional 4,800 sq ft industrial unit and four public EV charging points.

Businesses interested in leasing either the adjoining fitness space or industrial unit are invited to register their interest by emailing info@ast.co.uk.

Subject to planning approval, we’re aiming to open The Box Padel Club in Spring/Summer 2027.

Designed to make padel, good coffee and nourishing food an easy part of the working day, The Box Padel Club will be somewhere to fit in an early morning game, see a professional padel coach, meet colleagues over coffee, refuel after training or enjoy a sociable lunch with friends.

As part of our commitment to the local community, free time on the padel courts will also be offered to local schools and charities.

“The Box Padel Club has been a long time in the making, so it’s exciting to finally submit our plans.” – Mark Aston, Managing Director

More details, including updates on the project and the opening, will be shared over the coming months here.
