New wall graphics for the Children’s Ward…

A project that’s very close to our hearts. You might remember that we’ve been working with Cumberland Infirmary over the last year, providing new wall graphics for its Children’s Ward so the rooms are more welcoming and entertaining for patients and their families.

Earlier this year we designed, made and fitted bespoke jungle animal wall graphics, so that when kids are having things like blood tests, which can obviously be scary, they have plenty to look at and find.

We’re pleased to say we’ve now helped to refresh further rooms on the ward…

We created graffiti-style wall graphics for their Teenagers’ Room, giving it a complete transformation and it now offers a bright retreat for older kids while they’re at the hospital.

We also designed and made under-the-sea and outer-space wall graphics for other rooms on the ward…

Julie Graham, Ward Manager, Children’s Ward, said:

“We cannot thank Ast enough for transforming the five rooms on Children’s Ward at the Cumberland Infirmary. Prior to this the rooms were so plain and clinical – now they are literally out of this world!

“The children adore the safari room with all the amazing animals and they love to search for all the jungle creatures. Teenagers have not been forgotten either, their room has been transformed into a modern graffiti themed area.

“Huge thanks to everyone, from the design team to the installation team, you have all been amazing and we are forever grateful for your generosity.”

Mark Aston, our Managing Director said:

“We’re keen to do anything we can to help make being in hospital an easier experience for kids and their families – it’s a cause that’s really close to our hearts. We’re happy with the progress we’ve made alongside Cumberland Infirmary, to make the Children’s Ward more welcoming.”
