We love a good before and after, and this one is pretty hard to beat.
Our Astaura team recently completed a full commercial fit-out for Everything Managed in Newcastle, taking the project from the early design stages right through to procurement and installation.
The difference speaks for itself.
From an idea to the finished space
Everything was handled in-house by our team. One project, one team and a much simpler process for the client.
We worked across the different areas of the building to give the whole workplace a consistent feel, while still making sure each space worked for what it was actually going to be used for.
The finished office is a long way from where it started.
Warm timber, dark finishes and plenty of greenery now run throughout the building, with feature lighting adding another layer to the design. There are relaxed breakout areas, spaces to grab a coffee and catch up, and meeting rooms that feel smart without being too corporate.
A meeting room worth meeting in
The main boardroom has to be one of our favourite parts of the project.
The timber and dark acoustic ceiling feature completely changes the room, adding warmth while helping with the acoustics of the space. Paired with the large meeting table, integrated screen and timber detailing, it’s become a room that feels properly finished.
Elsewhere, the same materials crop up in different ways. Timber slat walls continue through the building, planting has been used to soften some of the darker finishes, and splashes of yellow bring a bit of personality into the breakout areas.
Nothing feels overly designed for the sake of it. It just works together.
What a difference
Looking back at the photos from during the fit-out makes the finished result even more satisfying.
Exposed ceilings, loose cables and areas still very much under construction are now almost unrecognisable.
That’s the part of these projects we really enjoy. You spend weeks seeing everything in pieces — materials arriving, ceilings coming down, things being fitted and rooms slowly taking shape — and then suddenly it all comes together.
For Everything Managed, the result is a workplace that feels warmer, more modern and much more inviting.
And most importantly, it feels like somewhere people can actually enjoy coming to work.
