In our continued work to support the Children’s Ward at Cumberland Infirmary, we’ve just completed a complete wall makeover for its Cannula Room.
We wanted to make the room more friendly for patients and give them something to focus on while there, so for this one we designed and made wall graphics with an Arctic/under the sea theme, featuring everything from a polar bear to a penguin. There are even a few teeny creatures, that you wouldn’t expect to see underwater, for kids to find.
A spokesperson from Cumberland Infirmary said:
“The room looks incredible! We’re all so happy with how it turned out. We especially love the snorkelling mouse and the hedgehog in the submarine! It’s the attention to detail that makes it feel so special. We can’t thank you all enough!”
Over the last year we’ve been helping to makeover the rooms on the Children’s Ward so they’re more welcoming and entertaining. To date we’ve designed, made and fitted bespoke jungle animal wall graphics, so that when kids are having things like blood tests, which can obviously be scary, they have plenty to look at and find. We’ve also created graffiti-style wall graphics for the Teenagers’ Room, giving it a complete transformation so it now offers a bright retreat for older kids while they’re at the hospital. And we’ve added under the sea and outer space wall graphics to other rooms on the ward too.
We’re proud to do anything we can to support the hospital in its incredible work.
