New graphics for HVS as they unveil fuel cell trucks supply deal…

We had a stand at the Road Transport Expo this year and we felt very proud to see so many vehicles that we’d wrapped being exhibited. On the final day of the expo, Hydrogen Vehicle Systems (HVS) announced that Explore Plant and Transport Solutions has signed a partnership agreement with HVS for the supply of 30 HVS hydrogen fuel cell tractor units for deployment by Explore across their UK fleet.

As part of the unveiling of the deal, we wrapped the hydrogen fuel cell tractor unit they were exhibiting and provided it with new graphics the night before the announcement was made. It was quite the mission, with an incredibly tight turnaround and we had to wrap it in situ, on the stand too.

But it was worth the challenge, the unit looks smart and, as the UK’s only carbon neutral transport branding company, we’re delighted to see two great companies working together for a more sustainable future.

Under the terms of the Agreement, HVS will deliver 30 state-of-the-art hydrogen-powered fuel cell tractor units for Explore to deploy on their fleet across the UK. The vehicles will be supported by a service and maintenance plan, full training on the safe use of hydrogen, refuelling and driver training, and a hydrogen fuelling infrastructure that fully meets the needs of their operation.

Founded in 2015, Explore is a specialist supplier of transport and plant hire services to a diverse range of industry sectors including aerospace, construction, rail and nuclear, and is one of the fastest growing haulage and plant hire businesses in the UK.

Chris G. Operations Director for Explore says, “It is our firm belief that Hydrogen-electric fuel cell vehicles are set to revolutionise long-haul trucking and meet the heavy demands of the construction logistics sector, providing a clean alternative to traditional diesel engines. These new HVS units will significantly reduce Explore’s carbon footprint, and this Agreement underscores our commitment to advancing green technology within our business. We are excited to be collaborating with HVS to achieve this transition.”

John McLeister FCILT, Chief Commercial Officer for HVS, comments, “This landmark Partnership Agreement is testament to our shared vision of a sustainable future. Our innovative, zero-emission fuel cell technology provides fleet operators with the heavier payloads, longer range and faster refuelling required of modern logistics operations seeking to decarbonise their fleets. We are looking forward to working with Chris and his team as we both aim to lead the logistics industry in sustainability.”
