An Ast Office Interiors refresh…
As with a lot of businesses, much has changed for us at Ast over the last year since the first lockdown – we’re doing more online meetings and virtual consultations than we used to, we need to work in a socially distanced way and have had to rethink our workspace as a result – to ensure it serves us well now and we can continue to work as efficiently and accurately as possible.
So we charged our Director of Astaura Gary Cranson with refreshing our Cumbria HQ interiors, to make sure we are super-equipped for video and phone conferencing and our team is properly socially distanced. Our MD Mark also wanted a general interiors refurbishment, to keep our offices fresh and our team inspired.
Gary set to work and we designed and made bespoke acoustic ceiling rafts and integral wall panelling for our meeting rooms, giving us the best acoustics solution possible for virtual meetings. These do the job brilliantly while still looking the business. We’ve changed the layout of our offices so there’s plenty space for our team to maintain social distancing and we also created some new meeting spaces, for meeting in person.
We’ve refreshed the wall and door coverings throughout our reception area, transforming them from dark wood, to light and we’ve created a series of ‘living walls’ of greenery throughout the building which look amazing and help support team wellbeing.
Not only does our HQ look fantastic, the acoustics are superior, the space has a better flow and we did it all quickly and cleanly, with minimal downtime, using our existing surfaces.
